Modular Teaching

Beginning with the 1995 academic year, Atlantic Baptist Bible College adopted modular teaching for the majority of the courses taught. Modular teaching gives a unique perspective to class scheduling:

It allows the student to concentrate on one class at a time.

Enables them to completely fulfill all the requirements of a subject within one week.

Fifteen or sixteen one-week modules are offered during any one semester.

Approximately seventy-five percent of all courses are offered in this manner.

Twenty-five percent, including all Elementary Education classes, are taught on a continuing basis with classes meeting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday for the length of the semester.

The major advantages of modular teaching:

Students can concentrate on one class at a time.

Students have the advantage of learning under adjunct faculty of qualified and experienced men and women who are actively involved in the ministry today.

Students may enroll at the beginning of any week during the semester.

Students who are forced to miss class because of an extended illness do not lose an entire semester of work.
